Planning your first Disney trip can feel overwhelming — there's so much to know! We've been there, and after a lot trips with our own family, We've put together this guide to help you feel confident and excited, not stressed. It's a simple beginner's cheat sheet. There's lots more to know!
- January–February (after MLK weekend) and early September are the least crowded times of year.
- Avoid spring break (mid-March through April), summer, and the week between Christmas and New Year — these are peak crowd times.
- Fall (late September through mid-November) is a sweet spot — lower crowds, cooler temps, and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
- Check Disney's crowd calendar and park hours before booking — hours are often longer during busy seasons.
